Title: beautiful days for a drive
Post by: gary scott on October 27, 2013, 10:13:46 PM
Beautiful weather in North Carolina, beautiful leaves.

nice days for a drive with the top down.
lows mid 50's, highs mid 70's

this has been a wonderful year so far. rainy or cold while I'm at work and clear and cool when i"m not.
getting the hard top ready to go on.

:)

I didn't have my XR2 on the road for the start of summer so I've been dropping the top on it every day possible!

Had frost the last couple nights, not getting quite as warm during the day anymore. Hope we have a warm spell so I can enjoy a few more days!

70º today. A bit windy and had some clouds but had the top down anyway. Storm last night knocked off a lot of the remaining leaves. Hope there are more warm days!

Glad you got another warm day.

top down on the way to work at 6:30 am friday 68  and a little windy. raised top about 7:15, rained 9:00 am till dark

Saturday sunny high 68. going for a drive for sure.
we are still having beautiful days with cooler nights in the forecast. Thursday will be 72 with chance of showers. top down most likely.
the top goes up to down or down to up in 1 minute or less. I mastered the process last year when weather was a little weird and I was driving a whole lot. sunny one place and 10 miles down the road was a 5 minute T-storm then back to sunny and warm.

gotta love this little car :)

OK, the weather is getting weird.
top down yesterday at lunch and after work, hardtop on this afternoon and snow this evening. Low will be 25.
looking at forecasts it'll be back off Friday after work. going back up to 60s again after that.
gotta love the hardtop option on these cars :) So much warmer with the hardtop on.

Been getting colder here. Spritz of snow this morning. 27 degrees tonight. :(

Parked the red capri for the moment, as one of the HVAC blend doors is jammed, so no heat. Hoping to pull the dash sometime next week to fix it. Have some other work to take care of under there as well.

I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to stand it up north for the winter. I was born in IL but lived most of my life in North Carolina and southern California. I might even take a winter drive to Florida to visit my friend there if it gets too cold here.
ya'll stay warm.

I've been spoiled since I bought the car in Spring by driving with the top down 95% of the time. Now the snow/cold has arrived and I don't want to let that go. I have visions of using the car during an extended period in the warm Winters of the Southwest while on vacation.
It's great, but not reliable enough to drive long distances. I'm not spending the big bucks to get a tow vehicle and trailer. The cost of shipping it round trip is probably twice what the car actual cash value is???"? Such a dilemma. Too bad, so sad.

chilly and rainy :( be back up to 60 next week. we did have snow predicted for this afternoon but it must have went to see Matt. I don't mind the snow, just don't care for the ice.
have a Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. :D
Drive safe.

went for a drive today with the top down...
left the house 63 degrees, returned 4 hours later 69 degrees. Just went driving to drive.
B E A U T I F U L   D A Y.
beautiful drive around North Carolina back roads. Just the right amount of hills, curves, straights, trees, pastures, and lakes.
back to work on Monday. next 5 weeks and weekends full. I'll have to make some free time and do it again SOON :)

drive safe everyone
