reading that engine swap guide..they did not recommend boring them out. i would say if anything you can do it to the 1.8l size and use them

I dont see why you would want to lower the compression. . .its allready super low. Anyways I agree with Joe, go with some Wiseco's.

thats nothing the stroker crankshaft for the b6t is like 2500.00 ,  granted its made by toda japan... but the majority of us paid less for our entire cars.... it would be a not unthinkable thing to spend in the range of 5-6,000 on a fully built race engine for a capri....(toda crank, wiseco pistons, eagle or carillo rods, and HKS camshafts....)
400hp anyone????

2L stroker turbo AWD capri anyone?!

ok ok guys come down lol i just looking for better piston not a new car lol i see the wants here.. buts lets be serious no one is going to put that kind of power to the ground in this little cars only rocket has a chance but im not sure it would handle that kind of power not being a mod..and i dont want an all wheel drive i like the tire spin.. but i want to make the power and put it do the ground.. if we could put the power to the ground that we make from 1 to 3 with the vj14 and then pick up the (JOE'S) power at 3 to 5  your talking a fast ass ride  and i want lower compression because its runs better on pump gas and its safety from blowing head gaskets and making more power sure and high compression motor makes it fast but its not safely..

Well honestly there is no need to lower the compression for any turbo setup. The allready lower then 8:1 is low enough to safely run high boost levels. The only problem with low compression and a big turbo is spool up ability. That's where a compound or sequential system would be handy. Or even better a single dual scroll turbo like the one I'm using for my build. As for making huge hp numbers in a fwd, I've seen a couple 600-900hp fwd civics running sub 10s in the quarter. Tractions not an issue with proper drivetrain strong axles and some fat tires. On that note our trannys suck and there's next to no aftermarket world for our cars so what can we do far a stronger trans??? On the piston note don't worry about lowering the comp. and I wouldent worry about raising it a little and still being 100% safe.

There was a guy on the ClubProtege board that had an adapter made up to use a Toyota transmission.

Not sure if it would fit in the Capri, it was a tight fit in his escort.

You'd probably have to make your own custom adapter plates. The one they have made up would work...but the BP tilts differently than the B6T...not sure if that would work out.

There is an LSD available now for the stock trans

I'd go for the twin scroll turbo, or even equal twins, before I went for a biturbo setup

thats the reason i built my engine the way i did ...the higher compression helps to spool the larger turbo and it gives the little car a bit more out of boost.. yet dosent spin uncontrollably till you have had 4,000 rmps to get you moving... that much power that low is going to make a front driver sit and spin without a good drag radial or a slick ...
