So i am looking to get the new intercooler off of ebay and i will be doing a full metal piping kit all the way to the throttle body and was also thinking how hard it would be to bore out the throttle body and or does anyone have one bored out for sale.
-
I have an intake manifold modded to accept a 65mm mustang throttlebody along with a mustang TB modified to work with the capri throttle linkage
its like a 3" inlet, you'll need to get a little creative with pipe, it just barely clears the valvecover but some grinding an a silicone adapter will make it work
So you're going from a 52mm TB (2inch) to a 65mm tb (2.5) I've run some math and it its got 30% larger cross sectional area which is going to mean a berzerk increase in flow
Let me know if you're interested in it

Is that the custom-made, Rocket Labs Prototype piece??? I can't believe you would sell that!!!!!

Hey I cant keep all the really good parts to myself!
-
isn't our TB 2.5?
when i did my FMIC i used a 2.5 coupling on it
-
the outside diameter uses a 2.5" coupler yes. The inside tapers from a 2.1" opening down to 2" bore where the blade is located.
The 65mm TB uses a 3" coupler and is 2.5" bore diameter

got it...
-
i am intrested in that... do you have any pictures on it and how much of a price am i looking at.
-
I cant find my camera at the moment I'll snap some pics soon

Pictures with the throttlebody attatched. Looking for around 200

ok sounds lie a fair price. I will have to send you the money some time next week, graduation party money will be buying me the TB and the intercooler and if im lucky help with the clutch
How hard is it to get the intake mani and TB off and put that one on ?
-
I'm not sure how hard it will be to swap, its usually a pretty good afternoon to swap a manifold. Theres a real tricky support under it that most people dont know about / forget
Are you going to the meet? I might be able to cram it in my capri somewhere
-
no i have no time to prepare for the meet and i will going on a family vacation the 13th so unfortunately unless a miracle happens i will not be attending
-
Alright well good luck with everything. let me know we'll work it out
-
could you do 175 shipped for the TB and manifold ?
