you could try emailing it to me rocketman[AT]werbatfik.com

is it a metallic noise? does it sound like lifters?

Are you still using your original head? If to you may have a blocked oil passage that is starving the lifters of oil. Another possibility, albeit unlikely, is that the lifter buckets are worn excessively and allowing too much oil to bypass the lifters and they're not pumping up.

Whats your oil pressure like? What shape is your oil pump in? What type of oil are you running?

ya know cheap gas or sometimes gas with ethanol in it can make it knock around a bit  (http://graemlins/yawn.gif)

I'm having a hard time hearing what you're describing in the file you sent me... almost sounds like a rod knock? doesn't make sense if you've got full oil pressure. Did you mess with the bottom end? Inspect your thrust washers/bearings?

no i did not take out the crank or the piston but i did check them to see if there would lose and i did not get any play from the crank or the pistons  the sounds sounds like its right on top not lower and if it was a rod it would do it all the time right  not just on the down side of rpms  and i know what your talking about on the gas but its much more then gas here the only thing that has change are me putting the lifters in and cams since the last time i drove it because the the lifters went bad on the last time and the other noise and just can in the picture this time i am going to remove the cams again and check the lifters and then the springs and im going to put the cams in with out the lifters and see if i can move the cams and if the springs are good and lifters are good i am going to put a bullet in the motor and call it good..........

ok guys took the cams out and the lifters are primed, none of them give at all so thats good  so i took them out and put the cams back in, there is no play in the cams up and down but just a little in and out i think its in specs. i am going to build and jig tomorrow to check the spring tension book says 44lbs at 1.5  but i see nothing that could be causing this i took plugs out and took all the belts off and turned the crank by hand and i feel nothing lose dont mean much but i check all the oil rails they are good and pumping out great

does anything think that the trans could be doing that some how??

come on poeple with car knowledge!!!!  give ideas things to try im asking for help here.. i know many things but i always like others info!!!!!

My buddy had a similar issue with a haunted engine...turned out to be his flywheel to crank bolts. But it was a lot louder.

I'd love to chime in and help, but I don't have a clue!  I usually take my car to the mechanic when something goes wrong....or call Matt......

All the ones I have are higher mileage. EXCEPT for the one that has appx 10 miles on it since it was rebuilt. But...i would need like $350 for it to break even.  If you are interested, let me know, and I can tell you exactly what was done to it.
