I have an alternator with bad bearings. Have checked local parts houses, but no matches. Anyone have a good part number for these bearings?

Check with Russ, I would just buy a new one & have a life time warranty.

I would just get a good rebuilt unit from your local parts house...HOWEVER - If you have a 91, make sure you swap the pulleys!! Put the old pulley on the new alternator, otherwise you can have all kinds of problems.

Lately they (Delco & Quality)seem to be rebuilding our alternators but changing the diameter of the shaft.  They come with a low quality split pulley and our 1992 pulleys won't fit without binding.  Try fitting the pulley before leaving the store with a rebuilt alternator.
