I had a loaner Infiniti G20 2001 when my M30 was in for a recall and I recall that the motor in them looks very very close to the Miata 1.6, but the G20 is a 2.0, but they look pretty close to the same from a glance sure theres beyound tons of non same once you dig deep as its a nissan   (http://graemlins/oh.gif)  anyways just wanted to share the look a like ideal

parts interchangability from mitsu as a vehicle will not happen.

mitsubishi is an oem manufacturer of parts for other companies, such as mazda.

the B6 motor shares basic archetecture with the 1.3 and 1.6 (sohc and dohc) mazda motors used in the GLC, 323, ford festiva (mazda 121, kia pride), 90-91 mazda miata, and various kia sephias and rios. the bore spacing and parts interchangability will lie there.
