Fog Lamp assembly
« on: February 18, 2012, 07:01:00 AM »

Anyone have info on replacing the lamp assembly. I thought I just needed to replace the bulb but the lens is cracked.  Found a part number Hella 138 238-00 on the assembly but finding nothing.

Any help would be appreciated!

Unfortunately I don't think any of the parts are available new anymore. They were originally made by Hella for Ford. You might try Russ at www.roo-sport.com - he usually has good used foglights. I'm assuming this is for a 91-93?

I have a spare set of hella fog lights I would sell you because they wouldn't fit on the front of my car with my FMIC.

For my 91 XR2. I do have a body kit and the lights are a bit more recessed than normal which might make them less effective. I have owned the car for two years now and they have not been operational since I bought. I finally got around to pulling the lamps this weekend.

Newboy - I'll shoot you a PM.

Thanks

You probably have the Erebuni kit. It might be worth it to look into an aftermarket foglight that will fit a bit better and won't be masked by the kit

Not sure what kit but looks a lot like the kit on your Capri.

I think I may try to find an aftermarket solution. Right now the front spoiler looks incomplete without the driving lights. I would also like to have them for function as well.

Yep mine has the Erebuni kit as well. The Razzi kit I don't think covers the foglights at all.

I will eventually get around to new fog/driving lights but that hasn't been very high on my list, lol. I took the stockers out, they were a little busted up and no good.

I want to work on my custom headlights before anything else though

Does anyone know what size of nut the bolt which is welded on that the fog light attaches too is?
I do not have anything that fits so I dont have a sample to go by for buying the nuts.
So I am looking for nut size and type of thread.
