I'm tired of these damn cars, I need out. I'm unemployed I can't afford it either -  First person with $5000 cash gets my car, and entire shed & storage unit full of parts. Includes numerous body parts, spare engine parts, at least two transmissions, turbos, wire harnesses, everything must go!

Again this is totally a one of a kind car, its fast as fuck, a real blast to drive!

Matt-
As we discussed last night, I think you should really reconsider.  Sell the Grand Prix.  You own the most unique Capri in existence, as well as providing Capri owners an invaluable service with your cast parts, and ECU chips. It would just be wrong to sell the car to just anyone who wouldn't appreciate it for what it is.

Trust me, I've been out of work for a year and a half.  Bills will always be there, but when you have something special, you hold on to it! Someone as smart as you are should be able to figure out a way to make some $$, right?

My company put me on an unwanted Disability leave. Basically I don't have a job, I don't qualify for unemployment and until the disability checks start to come in (66% of my gross pay) I have no income. I'll do what I have to to support my family. Hell I'm 51 years old no one really wants me because my age makes me a liability. If push comes to shove I have a Sig P226 and three 18 round clips and there's a shit load of gas stations around here!

Ah, well. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do.  I understand. I'm trying to decide what I'm doing with the 14 Capris we have now.  I need the cash, as well, ain't no jobs out there.

Everybody's got to do what they've got to do in this economy.  I agree you should reconsider, but I've been where you are.  You've been a great asset to this group - a great source of information and I hope you will come back when things get better for you, should you finally decide to leave us.  Thanks for everything, Rocket!

I just got off the phone with Matt - He is currently on his way to Delaware, to deliver the car to it's new owner. Apparently, the guy wants the engine and drivetrain to put in his Escort GT, and he's been after Matt for quite awhile to sell him the car.  Looks like he won

very sad to hear the car got sold just to be taken apart :-( i hope we dont lose your information and insight on this forum. hopefully you will find a job soon to help you in this economy to hopefully get another capri to make faster than everyone's

Funny thing - I got to Delaware & the guy handed me the money...and then after the test drive he said "naaah keep the car its too awesome"

So looks like I'll be sticking with it for a while
