Yes it is.
Even if it's not on the same date, even if the events are several weeks apart, IMHO it is a good enough reason.
I can't get away from work to attend even one event, much less two of em.
Also, if my sister were getting married, I might be buying a tux, an outfit for my wife, a really special gift for the bride and a bunch of other stuff.
It could leave you tapped out.

PS- I know this thread is toungue in cheek but my answer is real.

Oh,  no question.  I'll be there.  I was just razzin on the guy that said he might not make it. The way my capris are running,  I might need to tow it around the track,  is that allowed?

My Dad was running my 91 N/A around the track last year w/ a slipping clutch, and only 3 cylinders! Not to mention the red hood on a white car, missing headlight, and black hardtop! Oh, yeah- can't forget the busted up Razzi body kit, as well!
So, good chance nobody will notice, as long as it's being towed by another Capri!!
