Title: 91 capri part out
Post by: fattie on August 04, 2009, 11:31:00 AM: hey , i have a 91 capri im putting the motor in my festiva and keeping the seats and wheels. im parting everything else out , most of the parts are in great shape. all of it is obo , if u need pics of anything let me know , car only has 59k miles.

I have two friends here in Sacramento that did that swap. One has the turbo and the other not. The one without regrets he didn't. I also have another acquaintance that put a turbo motor in and crashed it the second day out when it got out of control. He regretted the turbo. Lol! but only once. Gus

Post by: fattie on August 05, 2009, 10:43:00 AM: well it looks nice on the outside , but the underneath is rotted. plus the fuel pump is dead and the clutch wont release. and i bought the whole car for cheap , and with only 59k miles it was a no brainer to use as a new heart for my festiva.

Post by: Gene on August 12, 2009, 05:26:00 AM: I need the mounting brackets for the radio (and power amp if you have a "Premium Sound" system). These are the internal mounts that the plastic guides on the radio & amp slide on to. Do you have these?

Post by: fattie on December 13, 2009, 04:58:00 AM: holy threadjack , been away for a while i still have fenders , hood , radiator and ac condensor , turn signals and headlights with motors airbag , i decided to sell the motor im going with a mazda protege 1.8 for my festiva , motor has 59k on it and ran when i pulled it , 5spd tranny is shot but can be included , motor has wire harness intact and ecu and airbox. not lookin to get rich so make me an offer.

they should have them and they are normally 50% less then autozone and checkers...

i have some but why not buy new....
