I am recently got a job that requires me to have a, "presentable" car. My Capri doesn't exactly fit the bill for customer meetings apparently.
91 NA 5 Speed
The bad:
-Leaking Fuel Tank
-Bondo Bucket
-Kind of rusty. Holes in the floor under the carpet
-The dash has a lot of the trim removed (have all the pieces)
-Driver's seat has rusted apart from the floor in one of the four mounts and the material is torn in many spots
-Passenger side window switch won't roll the window down
-Trans can stick in 5th gear if you try to pull it out too slow
-Shifter linkage bushings are nonexistent
-Timing belt hasn't been replaced in well over 100K miles
-Car has ~195,000 on it
-Need a screw driver to get heat
-Blower resistor is shot
-Has a small valve tick that mostly goes away when warm
-Windshield has a pretty decent crack in it
The good?
-Has a hard top
-Has a new soft top and the handles aren't broken on the frame
-new battery
-New brakes and wheel bearings all the way around
-New master cylinder
-New clutch slave cylinder
-New valve cover gasket and O rings
-New new plugs and wires
-Newer starter
-Newer fuel pump
-Newer tires
-Head light motors work
-All light housings are in good condition
-Comes with a lot of spare parts. Some hard to find ones like driver's door handle and glovebox latch.
I would expect someone to buy this as a parts car probably. Given the two tops, rims, and tires... Those could be parted out for about $600. I'm asking $750 but willing to hear offers. Remember, it does still run, drive, and stop well.
Local pick up only. I'm in the Flint Michigan area. 48439 to be more specific.
