is there any way to check it out to see if it is working correct?
 car still failing emissions, they said it is too lean and that the air sensor is not working. i need one or need to see for sure if this one is bad. i need to get emissions done asap before temp tags run out

I believe in the fsm there's a bunch of test you can run and different voltages you can probe at the connector at different positions to see if it's working ok.

i read up on that last night. if i have time i will remove it and inspect it.i gonna take it to a second opinion place tomorrow

The VAF is different between the XR2 and n/a. XR2 is larger.

The service manual has a lengthy set of testpoint precedures for checking it.

Have you checked your ignition timing? NOx's still high?

ya, i saw him messing with the distro on his machine. he said it was too lean. i did not get a chance to take it out and see if anything physical is wrong with it. i do have a weird noise that i was thinking that is was the compressor wheel grinding but maybe it is the sensor flapper. it kida sounds like then you blow across a piece of paper

is it closer to a mooing or buzzing noise under partial throttle or letting off during cruising? thats the stock bypass valve.

i found a cracked intake pipe too. once i got a good pipe on it i could hear the BOV making the noise it normally does. i cant wait to get rid of that crap bov and plastic pipes.

i think this will make me pass emissions now.

now that it passed emissions i can start to raise the boos..hehehehehee
