it is leaking through the RTV what sensor is it? leaking really dark oil. i know it is not engine oil because i changed mine and only driven about 30 miles since the change

Thats either the neutral saftey switch inside the transmission or the reverse sensor. Sounds like you need to change your tranny fluid if. If its red and real dark its probably still got ATF in it.

Pull out the speedo cable drive gear, its in the top of the differential on the passenger side. If you need a pic I can get one.

i was wondering same thing too, so will that plug drain it then use the speedo to fill it? photos always help  :D

The little tab that holds the speedo gear in commonly breaks, its cheap potmetal. Sometimes that tab can still hold it into place the way it snaps. Otherwise you'll need to find a way to keep in the diff, it will slowly work out its happened to me.

The speedo gear is a tight fit especially if its never been pulled out before. You'll need to get a firm grip on the cast base, maybe with pliers, and wiggle it back/forth and upward. It will come up. Make sure you dont lose the little piece where the speedo gear connects.
