Title: 91 XR2 with 65k original owner for $400 in DFW

guy just posted up his 91 XR2 for sale with 65k original miles and is the original owner. I guy said it wont run unless you spray starter fluid in it.

seems like a great deal to me. I may just have to buy it for parts or to strip and make a track car out of.

its posted on craigslist dallas if anyone else is interested in looking at it.

I tried to come out and buy it but with all this rain we have had and the flash floods he didnt want to show the vehicle.

I am going to try and get out there some time today if I can. He said he just put a new fuel pump in it and it sat for 5 years prior to that and he did not drain the tank. guessing a clogged fuel filter, strainer, and or pump.

Heh, well good luck. My 91 wouldnt run when I got it, only on starter fluid. A new fuel pump got it going, but the next day it was back to the same issue. It never actually RAN on fluid, only dieseled for a bit. A second new pump, new fuel filter, and new ignition coil later, I'm looking at the ignitor as the issue.
