Hey everyone, I have a '94 Capri that I recently put a hard top on. The hard top did not come with any latches, it is currently held on only by the three small Allen bolts (one on each side and one on the back). Anyway I can remove the latches from the soft top and put them on the hard top? I do not plan on using the soft top again.

Nope, two very different frames. The hard top is mounted with 5 total bolts, two to the windshield and 3 in the back. There should be one bolt behind each door and one in the center.

The bolts are a much more secure method than the latches, and you'll notice how much more stiff it makes the chassis.

Oh ok, so how/where do I get those front two bolts? I apologize if this is obvious, as I am not currently looking at the car.

If they didn't come with your hardtop you'll have to source some, I think most hardware stores will have something you can use. It will be metric - do a search here on the forum, I'm pretty sure someone has posted the bolt specs before.

Looks like it's M8x45
I will confirm that once I have tried to install them.

Someone on the Facebook group chimed in, they are M8x1.25 pitch.



The longer ones are for the front rear bolt points
