Gauge pod questions
« on: May 16, 2014, 10:56:19 PM »

Hello everyone and thanks for accepting me to the group. So I purchased a 1991 XR2, love the car so far. I'm going to start out with the basics, do a full tune up, change any parts that need to be replaced and move forward upgrading the car from there on.

I have a question regarding the roo-sport A-pillar gauge pod.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/331051113508

I purchased this so I can run a manual boost and A/F gauge as a start before I upgrade the ECU and install an MBC.
In the listing it says the pod accepts 2 1/4" gauges, but the standard sizes seem to be 2 1/16" and 2 5/8".
Does anyone know which size gauges I need?

Thanks, Mark.

Mark -
Welcome to the group....If you are going to mod your car, I think you're going to like it here!

I will get outside and measure the gauges in my pod tomorrow (the car in the eBay ad is mine), but I am 99.99% sure it was 2 1/4".

Russ the outside bezel of the guages will measure 2 1/4" but the diameter of gauge body is what counts, it is indeed 2 1/16" You may want to change your listing :D

So I'm having some problems with my gauge pod order. Russ informed me that the last grey one he had ended up falling on ground and cracking so now it will take 2 weeks before he can get another one. I asked him if he can just send me a black one instead since I didn't really want to wait. That was May 20th and I still haven't gotten a response back. His listing shows 4 available so I'm assuming he has them in stock. Kinda not expected this.

Sorry... I never saw your message...All of our listings have our phone number in it, for just this reason - if there an issue, you can call us! eBay messaging is not accurate at all. I probably get notifications of 75%-85% of the messages sent to me.
The quantity in the listing was inaccurate - we sold 3 more through the web site/FB/TeamCapri. The gray one I broke was the last one we had in stock. If you don't want to/can't wait until the replacements get here, I will happily refund you! It was an unfortunate accident - They are expensive pieces, so when I break one, I'm not happy. I should have it this week, and I will ship the same day I receive it!
