What belt to run after removing AC?
« on: April 01, 2009, 05:35:00 PM »

Hey guys

I took my AC off since I have no need for it, and the lines were busted anyway. Does anyone know off hand what size serpentine belt I need to run to the power steering? figured it'd save me the headache of measuring and trying to find one to fit.

Thanks guys!

You can order a non-AC belt for the Capri.

I pulled mine off when I swapped engines. Autozone had them in stock. Who the hell puts AC on a convertible!
I lost 30lbs of crap and can now actually get to the lower radiator hose if I need to!

Yeah, I took mine off for a few reasons.

More space, less weight, not to mention I never use ac.

I never even thought to look it up and see if they sold a non ac belt, Its only like 9 bucks so I can't complain with that.

Now I have room for my intercooler pipe and my custom downpipe   ;)

Anyone want some AC parts? hah

that one you would have to figure out, i think all these cars had power steering standard so there was not a non option. i think...could be wrong. i would never want to remove power steering unless you was only drag racing..

If you kept ac then you'd need a belt, but if you take them both off then you don't, the power steering runs off the same belt as the AC
