Title: What is this?
Post by: Gostlrs on April 11, 2009, 04:25:00 PM
i had the car up on a lift today to change the tranny fluid and i saw there a sensor above and to the left of the oil filter was leaking. what sensor is it? it was behind the bracket that connects to the the intake manifold and starter....

on another note the stupid tab broke off the speedo cable. do you think the cable will stay in with out it? i guess i need to find one now. i drove it home fine it was pretty snug to put it in so i hope it stays in for a while.

Knock sensor or oil pressure sender? knock is up front

and FWIW, the tabs break on nearly every capri i've worked with. I kind of just gently bolt the broken tab back down to hold the speedo in place. It will work its way out over time if you dont find a way to hold it down, I've had it happen.
