This years drive will be on Aug 23. We will be driving from Freeport IL to New Glaris WI. Bring your cameras and get pictures of the cows. Look forward to seeing old friends and new ones.

Ya, just saturday. We do it real simple. We get together and bull for about a couple hours, then we hit the road for a nice drive usually about 45 mins. Have lunch. Wander around the city we invaded. Then drive back. It is more of just owners getting together for a drive. This year we are going to take pictures of cows. (the city of new glaris has all kinds of painted cows around the city)

Besides Bob, how many others are planning to join in the drive.
We don't have alot of activities planned because planning takes time and money. Things I don't have.
We just pray for good weather and no old people on the road in front of us.

Rockfords " on the waterfront is Labor day weekend. this years headliners are "Willie Nelson (thurs), Uncle Kracker (fri), Jethro Tull (sat) and Cheap Trick (sun). I am contemplating changing the drive till that week, and do the festival. Any Ideas?

I just got back from the 2nd Annual Mid-America Capri Gathering. a couple pics have been sent to anthony, with 8 count em 8 Capri's (we doubled from last year) We had a nice drive that terrorized the passengers. Luaghed a whole lot, and generally had a really good time. I invite all who gathered to share their comments. And I want to thank everyone again for coming, and really look forward to seeing all again next year. I'm telling ya folks, next year be a part of the largest, longest running, gathering of Capri Convertible enthusastists in North America.

I only saw 7 cars in the photos. Where is the 8th? Cant wait till the east coast one. So far it is up to 5 and having aussie from maine being the current futherest drive to come. Hope more show. Maybe bill will bring one of his cars up to join in. The more the marrier. And I dont care what bap and lionhrt and capri_chick say about you. Either the one in IL or the one in KS would have been closer for me, but the timing didn't work out. :(

What were the years of the two white Capris?
I didn't really think about this before, but I'm surprised at what a change a little thing like the lens color can make in the front of the car. I mean... it's pretty obvious that ground effects and ...you know... tires, hubs, sportster, color, etc are going to make the appearance look different, but even smaller things can change how a portion of the car is ...I dunno... would ?highlighted? be the right word... you know what I mean? Changes what you're looking at and how you perceive it... 'spose it's like women (or Bill) using makeup to accentuate this and downplay that ('course on Bill nothin' helps ;) )

Both of the white Capris are 91's-the modded one being a n/a, the other a XR2. Both also belong to my girlfriend and I, although our friends John & Michelle Grossman "borrowed" the n/a for the cruise. They must have had a good time, as they now plan on purchasing a Capri as soon as possible!! Suckers!!
As far as there only being 7 Capris in the pictures, there was 7 at the park, and later, Rob & Nadine joined us in New Glaris for lunch and the cruise back to Freeport. The pictures of all 8 cars start at MVC-294S.

By the way, I forgot to mention whose car was whose, other than our two white ones. So, here we go:
Yellow '94= Dr. Bobs
Red '92 XR2(the one with dual exhaust and custom wheels)= Rob & Nadine
Red '93= George
Red '92 XR2= Mark H. and his son Josh
Blue '93= Al & Karen
Red '91 XR2 = Teri & Kevin

I agree with ya Bap! I personally don't really like any of the body kits available for the Capri (the Clubsprint is cute though), but the roadster covers and clear corners are pretty sharp looking! I'd really like to snag one of those for our 91 as well (http://graemlins/big-cool.gif)

Can't you just download them from yahoo? (IE right click "Save Target As" then upload them here?)
If you use IE, you could just run the slideshow and grab them from IE's file cache C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files\...
Once you've run the slide show, click on your open the Windows folder, right click on the "Temporary Internet Files" folder, choose "Find" in the drop down menu, in the dialogue box enter MVC*.jpg in the Named field and click the "Find Now" button. You could then hold the shift key down, click the first name in the results box, click the last name, then drag-n-drop all the files to another directory for upload...
...just a thought...

According to yahoo, you should be able to go to your album click the "Check All" then choose the Email button above the thumbnails, you'll get another screen asking for STE_6000's email address (STE_6000@teamcapri.com) but I think it only sends a lol (List Of Links vs laugh out loud ;) ...which may not be what Anthony wants...

Let the slide show run... ...watch it... ...whatever... your browser has already done all the work of downloading all the files, all ya gotta do is find them on your hard drive and copy them to a folder you want to keep them in...
To get the file list:
Start button ->Find ->Files or Folders;
Named: MVC*.jpg
Look in: C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files check include subfolders
Find Now
Use: DSCN*.jpg for Named field above, if you are looking for part#2 files.

Then drag and drop the files where you want to keep them...
You can get them all en-masse...

Please try the above described way of donig this!! With my dial-up connection, my PC tells me it will take over 3 HOURS(!!!!!)to email just the 72 pics I HAD in that file. I have since added more, so......!!
