for added saftey im looking at getting a new set of injectors. What do i need? Just the grey top injectors or do i need the resistor box as well?

Also are they a direct swap or does the fuel rail require modification? And are the 390s sufficient for the 11/tbird hybrid running at 16 psi with a rocket chip?

Greg.

yes thats a good deal... especially with a resistor box too...

390 will be plenty for a t-bird hybrid...
they would be plenty for a mitsu 14b turbo also id say when you go to a small or large 16g the 450cc units become more needed.....

talk to fred (icurunnin) for info on how to install them ...im not sure becuase im running 450cc units.....Joe...RCI...

that is a good deal on those injectors if they are in good shape. considering it comes with a resistor box thats a really good deal.

check my build thread and you can see my install of the resistor box which came out stock looking. as far as the injectors go, they are a direct bolt in aside from shaving the guide pin on them.

when you do install them make sure you get a new set of injector o-rings for the stock injectors and put them on the 390's. I tried to re-use the o-rings that came with mine and they leaked. just save yourself the trouble and by a new set from rockauto for $25 shipped.

the injectors run great on the stock ecu but not stock boost. I found the sweet spot is a minumum of 10psi and they work flawless. if you are runnin a rocketchip, you might not want to run them till Matt and I get a good tune set for the 390's. the standard rocket tune is too rich for the 390's so we are working together on getting a nice tune for his chip and the 390's.

the stock computer runs them just fine up to about 12psi which is where I stopped at till I get the wideband installed. I will crank the boost up and inform you guys what the safe limit of the stock ecm and 390's is.

So can i keep the stock injetors with the rocketchip and run 16 psi with the tbird hybrid without hurting anything?

Hey Greg! You should be able to! I'm still running stock injectors and and pressure. Though I have a bigger pump(190mlh).  Gus

Greg, I was running a Rocketchip and tbird hybrid at 16psi safely. I did run 17 and 18psi a few times and toward redline it showed that I was starting to lean out, but not past 13:1 AFR. I could have probably gotten by with a fuel pump rewire after that.
