Used stock short block for DFW (TX) area pick-up
« on: September 14, 2010, 02:35:00 PM »

When I bought my 1991 Capri it had a 'new' engine installed by the previous owner. In the trunk was the old stock block (steam cleaned then allowed to surface rust), the stock crankshaft, the 4 stock rods & pistons (labeled in order).
The past owner said he was going to re-build the stock engine when he found a "good deal" on Ebay for a 'new' factory replacement engine which he bought & installed.
I don't need those old parts but shiping them across country isn't something I want to hassle with (& won't). If there's someone close enough to the Dallas/FtWorth Texas area who is interested in these let's talk cheap.

Any suggestions other than the obvious (sell for scrap metal, take to the dump)?

Time... Stuff like this doesn't move quickly. If the crank & everything is good it might be marketable to the 323 GTX guys as well
