Title: Sway bar end links
Post by: pet_the_dogg on August 06, 2006, 11:45:00 AM
Is there a coompatible part to replace my broken ones on another kind of car?  Autozone cant even get the ones for my 91 xr2, but they can order the ones for a 323 GTX, or a Merc Tracer.  I am not sure what to tell them, since I am pretty sure one of the two will fit, but I dont know which.  Can anybody give me a hand on this one?  Thanks

The ones for a 323 or a tracer should work. All three cars are the BF chassis. Try corksport they have polyurethane ones it'll stiffen your ride up a bit more than stock rubber. www.corksport.com (http://www.corksport.com)

I bought the universal sway bar end link bushing kit at Autozone for $16.   It came with poly bushings, spacers, bolts and nuts.  Nothing to it.  Just make sure you get the right length bolts for your application - for the Capri you need 4 1/2 inches or so.

I have heard the 323 GTX has a different swaybar in the rear and the bushings wont swap over (its an AWD car so the rear suspension is different)

The 323 GT (fwd like ours) will work.

I think the end links should still fit though even though the bar is different. I'm not positive but i'm pretty sure.
