I was wondering if someone could answer a
relatively simple question please. I have a ford capri sa 2 1990 and i am unable to use the fog lamps
I believe it is activated from the console next to the brightness for the dash. Is this correct? also is there a seperate fuse to be checked for this? The lamps have been checked however the light console switch is dead when turned on.
Regards
Damien

not sure where it's at, but there is also a fog light relay. Probably up front near the firewall in the engine bay....?
yes, my fog light switch is installed by the headlight switch. it's a pushbutton on/off type thing.

There is a relay up front normally to the right side of the fuel filter. The fog/driving light switch is in between the panel dimmer and the headlight switch, from the factory. Unless you alter the set up, they will only work with the headlights on. There isn't any power directly to the switch. Do you headlights work correctly? Pull the dash and see if everything is plugged in all the way.

keep in mind too that the lights must be on and up for the fog lights to work. i saw somewhere on here how to make them work with just the parking lights, need to splice a wire together.

I just installed the factory foglights along with the relay and switch. I get power to the switch, but nothing to the lights. The fuse is good, but not sure where to turn next.

are you turning your headlights on...so they are up and light are on? power will not goto the lights unless the lights are on and up
also are you getting the green light on the fog light switch when the head lights are up and on?

hehe mine has exact same problem (http://tongue.gif)
The green light on the switch is not lighting up. ive tried while the headlights are on.
