What do you think of this car Gostlrs?
« on: June 29, 2012, 10:38:00 AM »

Hey guys, long time no see. My crankshaft's nose/Key snapped off after a bad water pump install. I ended up selling my Capri instead of replacing the motor.

I was thinking about replacing it and found an inexpensive one out Gostlr's way and wanted to get your opinion on what very little we can tell.

Doesn't look too bad for that price if the only thing wrong is the lack of distributor... see if you can find one to put in & test drive it!

I sense he would easily go down to $500 and possible down to $300-$350.

The lack of a distributor concerns me. It seems like a weird thing to be missing. I fear it is just a way to stop people from being able to start the car.

If things do go bad once the dist is in, I know I could probably get my money out of the car by selling it for parts, but it is more work than I want at this point.

So if anyone is interested in the car, feel free to contact the seller.
