Windows switch voltage
« on: November 10, 2014, 07:17:24 PM »

Hey folks, does anyone know what the voltage at the windows switch should be?  I am getting about 1.4V.  I was expecting much higher.

Should be the full battery voltage at the switches. Maybe minus a bit for losses through the wiring. 1.4V is not enough

Ok, I didn't think it was enough.

You can always come to a stop to use the windows. 😊

Look at Group 34 Wiring Harnesses in the manual. Page 9 specifically. There's a short section near the fuse panel where both share the same harness.

I talked with Matt about this a while back. The conversation was to install relays to  get the big amp draw out of the switch which is a major cause of window issues on the these cars and the 323's. Are you measuring the 1.4v before or after the switch?
