I won't be able to make it this year guys

Damned car isnt ready. Still needs some exhaust work, and the brakes are soggy.

I guess I'll have to wait another year.

I am wondering how the people from the Gathering who were staying at the Super 8 faired?

While we were having a picnic, half of the motel burned to the ground.  I didn't find out about it until this morning.

Bob and all the others, I'm doing fine. I had taken all my stuff from there that morning because I planned on switching to a no-smoking room - guess they were all smoking yesterday ( bad taste joke there). The police did not let anyone go down that way, Jim Martin had invited me to the Fiesta Cancun (?) for drinks but I lost him. So I finally decided to head home to Minnesota. Had been thinking of the drivein in Monroe. I was so tired from the heat and all that I got a room in Monroe and then basically slept the night. Got home here in South St. Paul about 1pm today, Sunday.

The others at the Super 8 were, as far as I know, Mark Ruffalo and Taea (sp?) and Kurt & Debbie (?) from Arkansas. Mark had checked out in the morning, not sure about Kurt.

I read in the paper that no one is hurt, but a few had their plans severely interrupted. I'm grateful that there is no human injury and, for myself, that I have everything I brought with me.

Mark Russillo and Thea are okay, thanks.  We continue to be Stratosphere Blue.  We stayed in Mt. Morris Saturday night with some friends of Thea and took route 26 as far as Peoria in the early a.m. - beautiful drive along the river!

Still not sure about Kurt and Debbie - they left the park before us on Saturday afternoon.

Kurt and Debbi are fine - they posted in the Yahoo group. They'd also checked out Saturday morning so have everything.
