What's an auto Capri worth?

I have a gentleman here in my neck of the woods that has a very nice example of a 1991 Capri w/ auto and 160k. It has a gorgeous hardtop and nice straight body with decent paint and no rust. The tranny was rebuilt also. I just tuned it up and serviced it for him. Runs beautifully. He gave me his parts car that I have listed in anohter ad for the work. Anyway, he has decided to sell 9 He has way too many cars.) and wanted me to get a feel for what it was worth. I am new to the Capris, so input form the more seasoned board members is appreciated.

Nice body,no rust and a hardtop = pluses
160K miles, Auto trans = negative

$750-$1000.  The 160K is the deal breaker for me.

Hold the car until Spring, then put it up on eBay.  A convertibles value is at its peak in the Spring.

If one here doesn't sell in 2 weeks when I get $ I'm buying one that has some body damage & same mileage just for the hard top & an engine to rebuild over winter for $650.00. Was gonna pick up a hard top for $350.00 alone but it sold.

Update: The car has 60k miles not 160k.

Much better!  With 60K, you can expect $2K-$2.5K on eBay IF the rest of the car is in good shape.
