Hate to say it..but

you might want to wait some time for the BOV, the air filter kicked your but..LOL

you really don't need to mess with this until you put a FMIC on the car. then you can do it all at once. No real gains from it. just make a neat noise.

Highly suggest getting a Cat back exhaust made first then getting the FMIC done.

BOV is fine before the FMIC... aftermarket BOV or BOV is strongly recommended for running higher boost than stock. But if you have a pipe welded for it stock style, chances are it'll need to be modified or ditched if you switch to FMIC later

I'm with jamie, no offense man, but if you can't handle an air filter then a BOV isn't something to mess with.

If you're looking for a good one to have professionally installed, the HKS SSQV is an excellent choice, the Greddy type RS also works quite well.

I was just saying its kinda useless to put one on now..it would need to be a universal adapter...wait and get it welded to the hard pipe so its done right..if you don't really care for the loud sounds it puts out the http://www.synapseengineering.com/ BOV is an excellent choice. You can recirculate it back to the intake and get all the advantages when the boost is raised.

you know he will need to have someone install it so why pay twice if you get what i mean

Does help protect the turbo, But as already stated might as well wait to do the front mount while your at it, that way they can only charge you once to install everything.

You can get an ebay SSQV knockoff for like 50 bucks, 3/4" adapter for like 10. Simple install (for most of us...)

I dont think the stock BPV enjoys more than 10 psi... something tells me it would leak after that.

i personally would not turn up the boost at all on these things until the FMIC was installed.

Greddy Type S....Loud as hell even at low boost. Had this on my DSM when i got it and at low RPM it screamed...

Pricey and not sure if the knockoffs on the Type S are as loud and they don't make them new anymore. So used normally

TurboXS RFL Bov, Hear it was loud as hell but also hear that they aren't the best for compressor surge.

Best sounding IMO is the HKS SSQV
http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=792

This is the one i am going to go with on my DSM i have only hear great things about it.

Now if you get an intercooler kit off ebay it will come normally with a greddy type r BOV normally....sell it, use it...there are a ton of options, $$$$ makes the world go around..LOL

I hate the adjustable valves that leak under vacuum. SSQV style valves are the easiest to set up. Loud BOV's get old fast. Unless youre a riceboy trying to show off.

Do we need to preserve the recirc for our bypass valves?  I don't see them in anyone's pictures...
