BRAVO!! Good for you!! I know what you mean when you mention feeling out of place - We enter my Daughters 93 N/A in a number of shows every year. At the shows, I like to stand back away from the car, and listen to peoples comments, as if I was a spectator. The most commen comments heard are "Why is that car here? It's nothing special!". That's when I step up and educate them about the car, it's rarity, and why it's so unique. Almost everyone walks away with a better understanding of why we feel the car is special. We average a 90% trophy to show ratio (of the 10 shows we enter a year, we usually win a trophy at nine)!
Even at this years MACG, as the 9 Capris that stayed at the Sunset Inn were driving to the park, I overheard a guy in a 1923 Ford complain that "this car show is supposed to be for Hot Rods!". So look at it as an opportunity to educate and enlighten your fellow automotive enthusiasts. Trophies don't hurt to help drive home the point, as well!!
Again, great job, and post some pictures!
