My clutch cable snapped. Do i have to put an original clutch cable or can i put an aftermarket one?

I'll be honest, as long as you see nothing snagging the cable, and watch the tension when you install the new unit, you shouldn't need anything more aggressive.

Luckily i found one at a shop where they sell clutches... my capri is up and running now.. thanks for the advice..

It's shared with the older tracer and escort cable from what I've seen, normally runs a pretty reasonable price online.  It's a fairly common unit, it's a shame that there are so few lookups at parts stores and online for this part when the capri uses the exact same one.
