Everyone who owns a Capri -
The clock is ticking.... Early Registration for this years MACG ends Friday and many of you have not registered. I need to emphasize how important it is to get your registration in so we know how much food to order, Shirley knows how many shirts to make, we can plan out how much space will be needed for our cars, etc.... So PLEASE - Register...even if you can't pay right away.... send in your registration with an email sharing a date of when we can expect your payment. You can contact me at

As for this years activities....
We will be meeting at Brookside Park in Rensselaer, IN. There will be another Car Club there (JC Cruizers has this event every year with about 150 cars for the day). There will be custom cars, street rods, mussel cars, etc.... AND our Aussie Capris will be the FEATURE car this year with a "BEST of Show" Trophey awarded for our group (our group will be all together)... There will be a lot to see and many owners to visit with... There will be door prizes, a DJ, food and fellowship.... Down the road about a mile....the 4H county fair will also be going on for those who may want to visit....
At the park...they have a public swimming pool for anyone who wishes to take a dip (extra cost). So anyone with kids....the pool maybe of interest for you. At 5:30 p.m. CST all the cars from the show, will line up and head for the annual car cruise night parade.... We will be escorted by police and travel through town and around the hospital, retirement home, the college, etc. after the first round through town...the police will let everyone go and those from the town join in on the cruise laps....many of the cars from the show, park around the town square and watch and visit as the cruise night continues.... We will talk more about what everyone wants to do at the park before the car parade....
As far as Hotel accomodations....
Shirley,
I did stop and visit the Sunset Inn.... It was originally a Days Inn several years ago... The owners are remodeling the hotel... Leroy (the Manager) did allow Rick and I to check out several of the rooms (queen bed, double beds, and a king bed)... the rooms were clean. They all have cable with HBO, Micro and Fridge available when requested, free wireless internet, and a breakfast snack bar (toast, fruit, coffee, and juice). On the East side of the hotel is a truck stop (plenty of room for trucks and trailers) with a restaurant. There is a McDonalds across from the hotel. On the West side is a KFC and Super 8 hotel, but before you get to the KFC and Super 8, there is a grass area reserved for picnics with tables and grills and playground area. Shirly, that is where he was talking about you guys could meet and visit. The thing I was thinking about.... is if someone didn't want to stay at the Sunset Inn...they could get a room at the Super 8 and still visit together in the picnic area... It is up to you all.... Here is the information I have about the local hotels....

As for directions to the park-
Take Interstate 65 either North or South...then you will get off on exit 215 (Hwy 114) and go East about 3 miles from the exit.. the park will be on your right hand side as you are coming into town.... There will be signs and a gentlemen who will be greeting you as you turn into the park area... I will share more information as we get closier to the event.
Keep in mind...if we get rained out at the park, we will move the MACG to our shop in Medaryville, IN which is about 22 miles East of Renssealer, IN. Where we can move inside, stay dry and still have fun....
Rick and I as well as the Whole MACG Planning Comittee hopes to see you there... so Register those Capri's and come and join the fun!
