I've been noticing that lately one of my headlamps is getting tired, sometimes it wont rise for 15 seconds after the other one. Should I just clean up all the contacts, or is it a sign that I might be needing to replace the motor? I'm really wanting to change out the instrument color, since I've had the kit for about 6 months now. Also wanting to install the electric antenea. Since I'm not working, might be a good time to tear apart the dash again..?

If you're going to clean the contacts make sure you keep the metal parts where the contacts hit aligned just right. After 3 times of reworking one on mine(in & out of car), I found it easier to just grab one @ the junkyard for cheap. Had enough practice pulling 'em out! My worm gear was rusted & the grease was hardened inside anyway.

Do the rundown in the FSM for headlight motors, turns out mine had a bad wire somewhere I have to fix.  Might be the issue you're having, these motors seem pretty tough.

The rotary switch inside the motor most commonly gets gunked up with corrosion or hardened grease. You can tear them apart (SWITCH ONLY SIDE. DONT MESS WITH THE MOTOR SIDE) and clean them with a scotchbrite pad or something, and then re-lube with white lithium grease.
