Hard top question
« on: June 26, 2013, 03:37:00 PM »

My 92 has a hard top that the previous owner bought several years ago. I'll be replacing the headliner and I'm curious as to how easy it is to hook up the rear window defroster. Car didn't get a hard top from the factory so I'm wondering if the wiring is there and I just need the switch or is there more to it?

Thanks in advance

The wiring will be there unless someone removed it. It will be down behind the driver side rear speaker inside the soft top boot. There's a plug on the end. Just plug in the wire from the hard top, install the switch in the dash and you're good to go!

Besides the switch, you'll need the defroster relay that's in the trunk next to the fuel pump safety shutoff.  It's the same part as the fog light relay...Chris
