Has anyone tried a strut tower brace? I am intrigued by the product Midco offers.
-
No, i made my own tho, works great.
-
I have the one from Midco. Is nice! High five! It does a lot for torque steer and I guess it makes the car handle a little better.
-
I picked one up used for $40, and I don't know how I drove without it.
-
I've heard real good things about strut bars on the Capri. The one TunerFixx offered looked nicer if I recall, but I talked to pmpsht and he says he cant get them anymore.
I'll probably be picking a Midco bar sometime before the MACG.
-
can't get anymore?
crap
it sucks being broke
that was on my wish list, for years

one thing that i've noticed with mine, and i gotta fix this soon, is that since i installed the brace, the hood rattles. I don't think its closing all the way.
-
Yea i was wondering if it interferes. My BOV hits my hood and rattles a bit, but thats becuase of poor planning on my part.
-
I think the Tunerfixx and Midco braces are the same... Mine doesn't hit anything.
-
hopefully its not hitting against the throttle body
the turbo motor looks taller than the NA
ive got a mid county bar on an NA
does the job.
-
Hey Yen! Those bars fit all capris with no problems. The last I heard is that companies sell the same bar, so make the best deal. I'd rather see Tunnerfixx make the sale as he is an active participant in our forum though not of the immediate late. Gus

FYI, I do have the strut bars available again. I have some on eBay right now, search user 'pmpsht'. Otherwise I have them on my site at TunerFixx.com (http://www.tunerfixx.com) .

I actually employ a number of Kangaroos that create these by crushing walnut shells, and then forming them to the correct shape by using Koala Bear spit as a resin.................

have them crush me a wing for my ride too then...
