to delhiboy: to answer your question and to teach you... its 2 clicks back or towards the firewall... the reason, is to understand a little about timing..
to advance your timing your making the spark sooner witch means going back ...
the sooner the spark in the rotation the more advanced the timing...
12* will be just a little above the 10* hash
your advancing the timing meaning spark sooner
this goes with any piston engine that i know of and if you can figure out witch way the engine turns you can figure out advanced and retard
towards intake advancing and towards exhaust retarding
i use a yellow paint stick and paint my marks..
that way you can use your timing light and just line up the marks..
theese are my marked camgears... you can see the yellow timing marks.
if you mark your timing cover about a markers width above 10* and the notch, in your pulley you can then see them..
hook your timing light to your coil wire, that will give you the best idea of where the marks are..
the coil hits on all 4 tdcs making your light flash every time a plug fires.. and yes all four pistons fire at 12* if set at 12*
i hope this helps answer your question and helps you learn...Joe...RCICustoms...
