Problem with body roll

Hey everyone,
I was in an accident a while back and after  repairing the damage I noticed that the car rolls alot more during gradual cornering. The rear right tyre doesn't just scrub its actually peeling bits of rubber when I turn left. This didn't happen before so I think I bent something major.
Accident was a big one. I hit the median strip laterally (perpendicularly) and wiped out the old left rear hub. The wheel was bent on its axle and looked like it was running +45 camber. A whole new hub was installed and it looked good, ran well but didn't handle the same.
Recently I found a slight bend in a lower suspension arm, the low one that runs long ways with the car fixed infront of the hub. Pivots up and down, not sure what its called.  
What else should I check for? I think it may be a loose sway bar mount but suspect something worse.
Im not too familiar with the rear of the capri and seldom see it on stands. What do you think could be damaged in an accident such as that and what should I look for?

Hey Yen! Boy-O-Boy. You need to check all the suspension links and mounting. It's best to take it where you have the wheels aligned on your cars.If don't anyone established from past that you trust then ask around to friends who have numerous vehicles or who are fleet owners to get a referral.  Good Luck.  Gus

The rear suspension is a pretty fragile assembly of adjustable linkages. There are two adjustable lateral links and a trailing arm. Its possible that one or all of these are bent, or the bushings are torn, or the mounts are bent. The two lateral links might be adjusted to compensate but it might skew the proper geometry in real world driving conditions.

It might be in your best interest to find a parts car with a good rear, they're very easy to swap.

Do you have drum rear? I think I remember hearing some of the really early base capris (with the 8v 1.6) had a drum based rearend.

Nah, discs all round. I haven't seen any capri's with rear drums yet, and I've seen a fair share! =)
Having a parts car would be nice as the rear  suspension is very worrying but I'm limited in work space at home. Fortunately there's a wrecker about 10mins from my place that specialises in capris, but they charge quite a bit.
It wont surprise me to find everything bent and broken, it was a very hard hit but I'm hoping for something minor. To the eye nothing really looks out of shape or out of place.
Does anyone know where I can find a diagram of the rear suspension components? That would help heaps

Hey Yen! You have a wrecker nearby specializing in Capris! Sounds like Russ has set-up a franchise. HA!  HA!  Anyway, you don't currently have a factory shop manual? If you need one then let me or Russ know and maybe sell you one. It'll have all the chassis info and there's another manual that covers the electrical and vacumn line systems.  Gus

If the work shop manual has all the diagrams and info I need then I'd best invest in one.
How do I order one in?
And is it model specific?

Yen-
I have the manuals for 91, 92, 93, & 94. I would bet the 91 manual would be fine for your '90. It's big, it's heavy and it would be expensive to ship to AU, but it covers absolutely everything on your car. To better describe the manual and it's contents, check out eBay auction #230313230949. It's already ended, but it gives a great description for these manuals.

Checked it out, it looks the goods.
Also looks like it weighs a ton, I'd like to get a copy but it's not looking likely any time soon.
Wasn't expecting it to be in such a scale, I thought it was going to be more like a Hayes manual.

Another option would be the manuals from 92/93/94. They cover the same basic information, but are much lighter.  To see what I mean, see eBay auction #230321375731.

Hey Yen! I spoke to Russ off forum. There are two options. The large binder, It covers everything at time of print. Then there is the paperback that covers the chassis and drivetrain and a suppliment EVTM is made available to cover the E-electrical  V-vacumn   T-troubleshooting   M-manual.  A lot of shops also would put any updates or TSBs in the book as they came out. Remember, these are the very books the dealerships used.  Gus
