My 91 Capri was giving me that trouble after it sat for a week in heavy rain, then in the mist I had to put in the ignitor module, but did my best to keep the dizzy dry. Anyhow, it would studder and then stall when cold. It ran really rough, too, when down around 1K RPM. I had to hold on the gas until the temperature guage moved over the "C" then it would idle fine. After a few days of driving it hard as well as vaccuming out the spark plug wells, the car idles great.

So basically, if you haven't tried driving it for a few days, thats what I'd do. Then again, I'm no specialist with these cars. It could be something more technical than that, but I've had my Capri for a few weeks and it's my first Ford product.

Oh, also, if you moved the distributor, I'd strongly recommend double checking that it is properly adjusted, and if you find a flaw there, perhaps the timing as well. (Lol, I've never timed a car, btw, I'm yet to have a vehicle with that issue)

Hey Bryan!  Check your timing belt again, you may be a tooth off. Then re-check your static timing at the dist.  Good Luck!  Gus

Hey Bryan! It's very possible that Ryan has a lead. The igniter has been a subject in the forum lately, although I've not those problems. Static timing has to do with dist. timing. The true term. has to do with the dist timing set with-out the engine running, But I mean't at an idle(12degr). Gus
