Title: alternator pulley and belt
Post by: leeks on January 08, 2009, 08:41:00 PM
Having trouble with my 1991 capri non-turbo. Can't keep enough charge with the alternator and was told i need to upgrade the alternator pulley and belt to F2JY-10344-A pulley and FOJY-8620-A belt to help correct the problem. Anyone know where I can find these parts or does anyone have a different solution? Getting frustrated!

Hey Leek! Check voltage at battery with meter, should be 14+. If lower than replace alternator. If you're getting 13.2-13.8 or less, then a diode is blown.  Gus
