The guy I bought them from has a daughter who has a black TT, and she wanted an all black interior, so the gray seats came out.  He was packing up his house for a move to Japan, so he just wanted them gone.  I got the front bucket seats and the matching rear seats for $125.  My plan is to hopefully use the leather from the TT rear seats to redo the stock XR2 rear seats, so they'll match the front TT buckets perfectly.  Not in a hurry for that one though, just ordered a set of H&R lowering springs, have my eye on a nice set of 15" alloys and 205/50s, have an occasional clunking/buckling sound coming from the front when it's turned to the left (probably bushings of some kind?), etc.  But a nice set of seats will make driving the car a lot more comfortable, in addition to giving it a more sporty look and feel.  Even the guy that did the seat swap couldn't believe how well it turned out.  The Audi gray leather is a perfect match for the gray interior of the XR2, and the fact that they're so much more comfortable than the stock seats is definitely an added plus!

I'll admit I'm a Craig's List junkie, have found SO many cool things on there...!  Like these Cobalt SS Recaro seats I snagged for $200, and they bolted right into my 2000 Sonoma with an LT4/T56 combo.  Much more comfortable than the stock split bench, and they look perfect in that truck.  I added some SS badges on the front quarter fenders, just in front of the leading edge of the doors, so it all ties in together.  The truck is all black, lowered, cowl hood, 17" wheels, etc., and I got an interesting comment the other day.  This older guy says to me, "I didn't think they made an SS truck in this size", obviously referring to the full-size SS trucks that were woefully underpowered when they came out.  When I told him they didn't, this is just a V8 conversion with some Cobalt SS seats and SS badges, he couldn't believe it.  Love getting compliments like that!

Hi All
My 1994 XR2's drivers seat is knackered. (Australian slang for stuffed) As these are like hens teeth to obtain i'm looking for a pair of replacement seats. Please bear in mind that as I'm "NOT" vertically challenged I need seats that sit as low or lower than the original XR2 seats. Anything that sits higher would have me looking out over the top of the windscreen.
So fellow Caprians what can you in all your combined wisdom suggest I replace them with.

cheers

I put some MB SLK seats in one of mine and had to space them up an inch and it is still lower than the original seat.
