Yeah, there's a longer radiator out there listed for the Capri that doesn't fit. Not sure where the aftermarket mfgrs got that, but it's there and hasn't left.
I think its a 28" vs a 26" or something like that.

You'll need to find a 26" or whatever it is

Well, that's super annoying. I think I may contact Rock Auto after work and see if I can work out some sort of swap with them then. Or at the very least, I should be able to get them to stop listing the wrong radiator.

Fuckit. Anyone know where I can get an all aluminum one?

Just a sad little car, sitting in the morning rain, waiting for the day I find her a radiator so she can finally stretch her legs.

Finally managed to find what looks like the correct radiator. I've got that coming, as well as the (hopefully) correct trailing arm, and a gasket for the new to me throttle body. I did plug the new one into the harness, clear the codes, and re-check it. First time I haven't seen the check engine light on in the car, so that's EXTREMELY promising.

It's looking like I should be able to enjoy the end of summer, and all of autumn, with the little convertible. Finally.

Glad it worked for you.

Thanks, sir. Radiator should be here Friday. As long as this one actually fits, I intend to buy that distributor from ya still.

I got my throttle body gasket & trailing arm yesterday. Hallelujah, it was the correct arm. No more Ka-Chow!

Got her running with the new radiator and everything. Starts up and runs with pretty much no problems now. I ran out of day light before I could do much testing, but it holds coolant and there isn't a check engine light now. It was giving me a tad of an issue staying at idle with the throttle fully closed (wants to stall again)...but that sounds like a vacuum leak and I was in a rush so hopefully that's all that is.

That new throttle body did have an extra vacuum port on the bottom that I attempted to block off. It seems to open when the throttle first cracks open, and my original throttle body didn't have this port. Any idea what this is supposed to be for? It feels like it's part of my problem (I did a bad job capping it)

Got it all sorted out now. Just add paperwork, and she's ready for the road now.

Sounds awesome.  What did you use for a muffler?  I replaced entire cooling system in my 91 this last year to include the radiator.  I ended up going with an all aluminum racing radiator as I was unable to locate a regular one.

Thats the factory exhaust, sans catalytic converter. Plus or minus a decent sized exhaust leak. Look, it's on my list of shit to do  :-\ lol

I really like a cheap turbo muffler and oversize pipes. They have a deep throaty sound but not obnoxiously
 loud.

Yeah my plan was to just copy the factory exhaust in a bigger diameter pipe, probably stainless. No cat, but some sort of muffler down at the back. Debating on doing an active thing and having a fun button that'll let me dump it out right after the downpipe if I feel like being obnoxious...

The stock muffler is rather short, and it will be difficult to get over the axle with most aftermarket mufflers. If you use a straight glasspack type muffler you can put it in the center, it will make routing easier. Turbo mufflers are available in that shape if you don't like glasspacks.....I don't...lol If you put the muffler at the back, your ground clearance is gonna be really close.

So a straight pass through style muffler in the area where the catalytic converter was? That does seem significantly easier, and keeps all the harder work in one spot. Is it easy enough go get a 2.5" pipe (or so) bent up over the rear axle?

my plan is to just run a pipe from manifold down and have it dump out right behind the passenger front tire.  No cat, and a small muffler like maybe a flowmaster 10 series or 8" glasspack.
