Heres my car. Now with new wheels.
« on: August 09, 2009, 11:56:00 AM »

Just picked it up the other weekend it fit my need for a car fun and turbo. I've owned a couple turbo cars but almost got into the mode of buying a reliable honda but glad I waited to find it on CL for 1500.

Yeah first capri but my fourth turbo car I used to live near midcounty mustang that the only reason I had even heard of or seen these cars. I plan on exhaust, suspension, and intake the basics and I guess that rocketchip so I can up the boost some. Is the stock turbo sufficient for some decent power and what do most of you guys do for exhaust just take it to a muffler shop and get a full exhaust made

I just got a full 2 1/2 inch exhaust put on. Removed the cat, as well.  Pulls like crazy at 4 grand and above!  I'd recommend that mod to anyone.  I was happy with my stock turbo, until I got my VJ11/14 hybrid. Now, I can't imagine going back to stock. God forbid I blow up this turbo, 'cause if I do, I'm going to the T-Bird unit. Id's recommend the RocketChip before you do anything major - Let's you get used to what you have, and you'll appreciate your upgrades better!

So I finally started doing some mods. Got the rocket chip a full exhaust, than threw some wheels on it. I guess next is boost gauge so I can crank the boost up than some lowering springs and a hardtop if I can find one. Its turning into a fun car.
