hey i have a 92 capri wanted to see if ther was any way to bypass the limp mode my car goes into above 10 psi?
-
Bypass boost cut? You just unplug the boost cut switch on the firewall.
I will stress, ONLY do this if you have an upgraded ecu - the stock ECU will only support fuel up to 11psi of boost. Beyond that you run the risk of blowing the engine / melting pistons.

well i wanted to push around that anyways but wher on the fire wall is it located? im racin it at a circle track tomarro so im trying to get as much out of it without destroyin it because it is my daily driver

Like he said, if you're really brave though you could run a manual boost controller for pretty cheap. Ran 9.5psi on my capri without issue, torque is kinda a hard battle though while steering, even with power assist.
Not sure how much you can increase boost by without an exhaust though. The stock might not be able to push much above stock levels.

Racing + More boost + no chip + daily driver doesn't really sound like a good equation to me, but hey its your car.
The boost cut switch is a hockey puck shaped sensor on the firewall. Here's a pic. Just unplug it.

Anything beyond what the limiter allows is gonna destroy your engine, until you get a remapped ECU.

My opinion? You can buy 1 of 2 things: A chip, or a bicycle! If you don't get a chip, and raise the boost, you'll need the bike to get around after you melt pistons from running to lean!
