Title: Rear brake upgrade?
Post by: JackRobot on May 18, 2010, 01:14:00 PM
Going to do the not really vr4 upgrade upfront so I want to upgrade the rear as well, read something about a bracket and using galant rotors and miata calipers.

Anybody done anything similar?

Thats only applicable to the 323 GTX. On the capri, the rear rotors are also part of the bearing/hub assembly so upgrading isn't really an option. I've heard of somebody taking BHA chassis (95+) protege/escort rear spindles & swapping them, but the lug patterns are different

you will love the brake upgrade. mine was done before I got it, but my other one and this one are a world of differance. Hope your also running the strut mount brace up front!! Also upgrade your exhuast, if you haven't, and a cone style airfilter... then ... also... don''t forget...  By now the parts store guys all know you by your first name. good time to paint your calipers front and back with some real shiney red heat resistant paint, after using a rust retardant.
