They use the same style headlights - the covers are way off. Theyre bigger and have much more of an angle. My friend bought something similar for his probe and heres how it worked out on my capri:

As you can see it sticks out way past the hood in the front and some on the side, and the whole unit is pointed away from the car. The headlight lids are nowhere close to each other, I've compared both hand in hand before.
The other thing is that the probes have a much steeper lid, which gives them horizontal area to work with. The capri lids arent as steep so it would be much harder to put lights in.

thnx for the info..are they any head lamp kits similar for the capri?
-
There are none that I know of. I have seen 2 different custom jobs - one where they put a clear lexan or plexi plate over the bucket and fit projectors into it (i guess its a common thing with Miatas to do so it was called the miata mod)
and i have also seen 2 different capris where projector headlights have been modded into the front turn signal lenses.
Like I said the angle of the capri headlight makes it difficult to make a cover mod like the probe has.

alright well thnx, then do you know were i could come about a passenger side headlight assembly?
-
A junkyard would be your best bet but midcomustang.com might have one.
-
I might have one without a motor I'll check for you
-
that'd be great the motor is mine is fine just the housing the light sits in and the rod that lifts it broke..so i need the rod and housing
-
I'm pretty sure I have one without the lid and without a motor - if I pull the light it'd keep shipping down. I still have to check though, its crammed all the way back in my parts shed I believe (gotta get past a hardtop, a dissasembled engine, alll interior body panels, wiring harnesses, and other junk haha)

what ya want for the hardtop?

Im hanging onto the laptop, sorry, winters are rough here. I just have tons of parts and nowhere to put everything (http://tongue.gif)
I looked, i hope you arent talking about the headlight bezels (black wraparound part) because all I have are 2 broken ones. (http://graemlins/big-sad.gif)

lol, i htink that's what i'm talking about . what ever the light sits in and the little rod pushes up on. Heh, were can i get a decent hard top for a good price? look like i'll be riding with the lights up for a while

on ebay in the springtime hardtops are abundant and cheap - I have seen them go for as little as $250. People get tired of storing them for the summer so they just hock em on ebay
