Timing belt/ water pump issues
« on: December 04, 2022, 11:20:54 PM »

Hello
This is going to sound ridiculous, but I need help. A local shop replaced my water pump and timing belt. When I picked it up and turned on my headlights the wipers came on and the blinkers don't work. When I put it in drive the manual shifter light came on and it wouldn't shift into drive or overdrive and the mechanic has no idea what is wrong which I don't believe. Does anyone have any ideas why this happened, I think maybe its a ground issue, and ideas would be appreciated at this point
Thank you

I agree with your assessment. Grounding is a common problem on these cars. There are a half dozen under the hood and it certainly wouldn't hurt to clean and grease them.
