Look what i got sitting in my yard...
It is a 4th generation Honda Prelude. The first conversion is an Infiniti FX45 Crossover headlight conversion. Then it has a Volvo C30 tail light conversion. Next is a Honda Delsol rear end conversion. the window even rolls down. Then to top it off there a complete Right Hand Drive conversion has been done. everything was swapped. professionally done. has the dash all the heater and AC parts. just like it was made in japan. It has a custom wide body kit in the front and rear. has a custom front bumper. has side skirts. it just needs both rear scoops to be finished then the car would be ready to prep for paint. shaved door handles. roll bar. lowered, rear strut bar, custom hood. all set up to drop a H22 VTEC into it then turbo it. Sunroof and many more things i am probably forgetting. this thing has over $15,000 invested into it.
trying to sell it for a friend. he only wants a small amount for it and i get anything over that. if it has not sold by the end of the year i might just get it myself. about 5 grand more work and its done..it looks sweet..

my friend had 1996 impreza 2.0 twin turbo , and that thing was fund to drive (http://smile.gif)

i had a 4th gen while i was in japan for a while. only honda i ever owned. it was not a bad car..but it was not turbo so i got rid of it fast LOL...but it did not look like this one either

looks like a great idea. sounds costly tho, your almost reinventing the prelude with all that work. when is the projected finish date?

2 people previous been working on it. the wife loves it. if it will not sell by tax return time then i might get it. i am thinking about 3,000 more on body and paint. 1500 on engine and tranny to get it running. put a seat and windshileld and its drivable. then i could work on the interior. i am sure it will sell. but if not. i might go for it. i figure if i drop in about 5-7 G's i could easily get that in return. stock preludes still sell for 3500 with the H22 in them.

Thats a pretty sick body... all that and still FWD though? Did that guy dropping the LS1 into his prelude ever finish it? That was such a wicked build shame if he didnt.

LS1 into anything but a Vette is nice...
the FWD does suck. but i am thinking this would end up being more a show car / weekend driver instead of a daily driver. i think the outcome would be worth the price. seeing how 85% of the conversions are done and the had had a H22 in it already the rest is not that bad.
the H22 is a good motor. depending one which version you get it has about 200hp. slap on a turbo and its a pretty damn fast honda.
i got a few months to think on it.. i would be surprised if it did not sell though.

but the prelude was already a heavy car compared to its counter part the integra. which the body changes it doesnt look like it got lighter.

sure was easy to push back into the yard. is fiberglass lighter then the sheetmetal? the whole rear end from the doors back is fiberglass
