Definately. These things are fairly beasty engines, they're originally designed for rally use. The weak link is the transmission, in FWD they will start to fail at the 300+ whp mark. I wouldn't trust the stock rods reliably past ~275whp.
GTX rods are a more economical option, they've been going on ClubProtege for about $100 - $125 + s&h. They're OEM on the GTX engines only, they're thicker, theres a pic floating around somewhere.
200 is nothing for the car.
