The vaf meters don't need to be soldered like was mentioned in this post...
I made the mistake of pulling apart the connector as one of the first things I did to a capri. Just use pliers to reach into the box and grab the wires, connect them to the metal prongs on the connector, and clamp them so they don't come apart. If the car doesn't run like it did before, you matched the wrong wires.. just take it apart and try again. I didn't mark the wires, I just tried random combinations, about 8 times, until it worked as before, running smooth and no CEL.
