where is the wastegate on a 1991 mercury Capri???

May I ask why you are looking for it?

We have an internal wastegate, the flapper door is inside the turbine housing. The actuator sits on the back of the turbo, between the compressor housing and the engine block. If you trace the line from the crossover pipe (aluminum pipe on top of the valvecover), it goes right to the wastegate actuator.

i am wanting to run a BOV do i just unplug the wastegate acutator...and plug the wires from in into the new BOV?

No, please stop and do some serious research. Dont ever unplug the wastegate. The wastegate controls boost, it's got nothing to do and is totally different from a BOV.

There is plenty of great info on the web about turbocharger systems, including the "did you know" section on this forum here.

well hmm how am i supposed to run my manual boost controller.. ..where do i hook it up at???

still i have the manual boost controller in the cross over pipe and it still doesn't control any boost. at all!..so what now.? its a cheap ebay controller.

You listed an in-cabin controller on your other post, are you running it in the engine bay or inside the car?
