couple quick questions
« on: April 11, 2010, 04:27:00 AM »

1) has anyone ever put a power antenna on thier capri?? Is there room in there?

2) bit more technical, when messing around with the intake, does the air flow box have to remain level, or can I drop it to an angle, so the air can flow more freely into the turb. I am trying to reduce the turns that lead into the intake on the turbo. I run the rocket j-pipe, and I know that helps, but if I could run direcly off the cold side with little or no bends, perhaps a long sweep 45 at the most and then connect a cone air filter...  well you know where I am going with this??
Any input

one more quick question- gost- do you know where, or remember where you got that guage cluster at? I am looking for an after market boost guage and an oil guage, that pillar cluster would look great and function perfect. By the way, I f I would have bid 105 on that one you sold, the other guy probobly would have gone up!! his top bid was most likely in the thousands, thats how my luck rolls!!
Question 2) I run the 2-stage boost controller from tunerfixx, I know alot of you guys run it also, I can only get it down around 10 lbs. on the low end, I would like to see around 7, I am out of adjustment and have gone to the stiffer spring. Any ideas?? We are going to screw with it this week some times.

http://www.gaugepods.com/

not where i got mine..but only other place i know that sells them..

i had my VAF at a 45deg angle facing upwards towards the hood and had no issues.

i was going to go with the flush look for my ant...then run the ant in the car somewhere else out of site.

i just did the bondo work on the DSM to make the ant disappear..  :D

If you still have the stock wastegate actuator it starts to open at around 8.5lbs. I don't think you can change it lower..only higher with the controler.

Its best to keep the VAF as level as possible. The door in it is not balanced and hanging it different will affect it. Slight angles won't hurt.

I have one of the original a-pillar dual gaugepods from the group buy new in box, email me if you're interested.

You can only lower boost to stock boost. Not lower. Stiffer spring is for higher boost. If you want to run completely stock boost for the low setting, remove the ball and spring for the low solenoid. However you'll see better spool times running even stock boost, the MBC delays wastegate function. Personally I ran 12lbs for low and then 16 or+ for my high setting.
